Located at the entrance to Øresund and with Kronborg Castle as a neighbor, Helsingør Nordhavn is a cozy marina with 1000 berths. The harbor offers a good selection of ice houses, fish shops and cafés, a gallery and various shops. With its size, the harbor is one of Denmark's largest marinas, but still retains the intimacy and environment found in smaller harbors.
On both sides of the harbor are two beautiful child-friendly beaches - Grønnehave Strand and Kronborg Strand with sandy bottoms, a public jetty, playgrounds and barbecue areas.
At the harbor, there are plenty of summer activities for the kids, with the large bouncy castle as the center of fun and games and an outdoor harbor pool where kids can get up close to the wildlife of Øresund.
The harbor is particularly known for its spectacular location at the foot of Kronborg Castle, where the Sound is at its narrowest, offering a stunning view of the Sound with the Swedish coast as a backdrop and the Kulturhavnen and Værftets Madmarked in the old shipyard halls as the nearest neighbor.
Only a 5-10 minute walk from the harbor is Helsingør Bymidte, which is connected by the long harbor promenade that runs past the many museums such as the Maritime Museum, Øresund Aquarium, Kronborg, Kulturhavnen.
