For the fourth year in a row, IS Skævinge Fodbold has registered for the Kronborg Cup, which includes an overnight stay. The youth coordinator at IS Skævinge Fodbold shares fond memories of the Kronborg Cup and explains why the club has made the Kronborg Cup its annual soccer trip.

IS Skævinge Fodbold is a club with just over 300 members in the municipality of Hillerød in North Zealand. In the club’s own words, it operates under the motto that there should be room for everyone in the club, while at the same time striving to offer each player exactly what they’re looking for. They emphasize camaraderie across age groups to strengthen the sense of community among both players and coaches.

Rudi Dalsgaard, Youth Coordinator:

"We always have high expectations for the Kronborg Cup because, for years, it has been an extremely well-run tournament where everything is under control—especially out on the courts."

That’s also why we choose to come back year after year—and that’s what led us to choose the Kronborg Cup as our club’s annual soccer tournament for all teams. It really means a lot to us that the tournament is well-organized and that we can rely on the information we receive.

At the same time, the competition features a high and diverse level of athleticism, and the event is held at a great time to serve as a warm-up for the start of the season.

"Our best memory from last year was probably seeing how our team supported one another on the fields and at our accommodations, where people chatted and had a good time with players from different age groups—and with other clubs."

We at the Kronborg Cup are incredibly happy and proud that clubs like IS Skævinge, and many others, have made it a club tradition to participate in the Kronborg Cup year after year!
