Registration for this year’s Kronborg Cup is now closed, and all age groups and divisions are fully booked. Teams on the waiting list will be contacted if any cancellations occur.

2023 is also the year in which a new record for the number of participants at the Kronborg Cup will be set. A total of 565 boys’ and girls’ teams from Denmark, Sweden, and Finland are ready to visit Helsingør on August 11–13.

"It is with great pleasure that a total of 565 teams have registered for the Kronborg Cup. After some really tough years in 2020, 2021, and 2022, we are truly delighted to welcome so many children and young people to a festive weekend featuring a grand opening event on Friday and plenty of matches on Saturday and Sunday. We look forward to seeing everyone at the sports facilities and around town,” says Frederik Hertz, chairman of the Kronborg Cup.

In fact, demand has been so high this year that, unfortunately, some teams have had to be placed on a waiting list, and additional schools and classrooms have been booked to accommodate the high level of interest.

"Of course, we’d really love to have everyone participate in the Kronborg Cup. We’re using all available fields in the City of Helsingør, and we’re constantly trying to come up with solutions so that more people can join. At the same time, we’re also trying to secure more accommodations so that everyone interested can find a spot. Unfortunately, we can’t accommodate everyone, but that’s why we’ve also set up a waiting list this year,” says Frederik Hertz, chairman of the Kronborg Cup.
