Dajan Hashemi, a former Kronborg Cup participant from Snekkersten IF, currently plays as a forward for Brøndby IF in the top tier of the Danish women’s league.
At the age of 6, Dajan started playing soccer at the local soccer club Snekkersten IF—which is a co-organizer of the Kronborg Cup. Dajan played for several years in Snekkersten, where she faced older opponents, before new challenges and higher levels beckoned the talented forward. At age 14, she moved on to Hillerød GI, where she soon transferred to the 3F League club, Ballerup-Skovlunde Fodbold. Dajan made her debut in the country’s top division at just 16 years old.
Throughout her career, Dajan has gained experience in several European leagues. Earlier in her career, Dajan played for major foreign clubs such as Hammarby Fotboll, Linköpings FC, and Sassuolo Calcio Femminile. In the fall of 2023, Dajan signed a two-year contract with Brøndby IF, running through 2025.
Mogens Schuldt, sports director for girls' soccer at Snekkersten IF, told cementen.dk:
““We’ve known all along that she was an obvious talent who could go far if she was trained properly, and you have to say she certainly has.”
"Dajan was an amazing soccer player from a very young age and outshone many of his teammates."
During his teenage years, Dajan also played for various national youth teams, scoring 22 goals in 39 games.

is a top-class technical player When Dajan transferred to Brøndby IF, sporting director Claus Jensen told Brøndby IF's website:
““With Dajan, we’re getting an incredibly skilled player who brings a lot of challenge to the game. She can play in several offensive positions and will help further strengthen the competition within the team. She’s a slightly different type of player than the ones we already have on the roster, and we’re confident that we’ll benefit greatly from her core strengths.”
Technical skills are also something that inspired Dajan as a child—especially in Brazil. She shares this when our conversation turns to role models in the world of soccer:
“WhenI was younger, I really looked up to Marta da Silva, since she was the only woman you really heard about in women’s soccer; otherwise, I loved watching Ronaldinho.”
Fond memories from his time as a youth player
Dajan is yet another former local youth player who is now a professional soccer player, but who, like all the others, participated in the Kronborg Cup at the recreational level during his youth.
During her teenage years, the Kronborg Cup was part of Alma’s summer vacation, which she always looked forward to with great excitement. Her memories also include several medals from the tournament:
"What I loved most as a youth player was probably the all-day trips we took or the small tournaments that involved an overnight stay. I remember that when I was at the Kronborg Cup, I played on a team with the boys and my friends."
A Future Abroad
Dajan is currently enjoying life in Brøndby, where the club came agonizingly close last season to both the league championship and the cup title, but FC Nordsjælland and Alma Aagaard stood in their way both times. Someday in the future, Dajan dreams of leaving Denmark for one of the bigger clubs abroad.
"I see myself playing abroad in 5 years. At a club in England and as a member of the national team."
Dajan's best soccer moves also have international ties, as she has previously played matches at the top level in Europe:
"My best soccer memory was probably when I made my Champions League debut against PSG while playing for Linköping in Sweden."
A word of advice
If Dajan were to offer a piece of advice to the many young soccer players, it would be:
"My best advice is probably just to enjoy it. And always believe in yourself, even if you face setbacks."
