A hub for culture and experiences – Kulturværftet at the harbor in Helsingør is the city’s new, large cultural center, which brings together the city’s present and past.
With its wealth of possibilities—ranging from the building’s library and concert hall to various exhibitions and social and creative experiences—Helsingør’s new cultural center is situated right in the heart of the past. The building is housed in the historic structures that, from 1882 and for about 100 years thereafter, were home to Helsingør’s famous shipyard. In its day, the shipyard helped create numerous jobs for the city, and it is indeed the intention that Kulturværftet will now build a bridge between the city’s business community, educational institutions, and cultural experiences. This is also a fundamental part of Kulturværftet’s vision.
