In connection with the organization of the Kronborg Cup and the Kronborg eCup, we process a variety of information about you. This privacy policy explains how we work to protect personal data and comply with data protection laws. It is important for us to emphasize that we process your information solely for the purpose of organizing the Kronborg Cup. We never sell your information, nor do we disclose your data to anyone other than as described in this privacy policy.

What is personal information?

Personal data is any type of information that can be linked to you to some extent. When you use our website, we collect and process a range of such information. What types of personal data do we process, and why?

The information we collect and process about you will be used for various purposes and to the extent necessary in connection with your relationship with us and the operation of the Kronborg Cup, as well as when we have a legitimate basis for doing so. The information collected may vary depending on whether you are a customer, newsletter subscriber, supplier, contest participant, or user of our applications/website. Failure to provide personal information may mean that Kronborg Cup will be unable to fulfill its obligations to you.

Information about volunteers is stored by the local clubs that are in contact with the volunteers.

As a general rule, Kronborg Cup does not collect sensitive personal data. Sensitive personal data may include information about race, ethnic origin, political or religious beliefs, or health information. Sensitive personal data is collected only with your explicit consent, provided that there is a substantial and necessary need to do so.

The purpose of processing your personal data, including the legal basis

The information is used to identify you as a user and show you the ads that are most likely to be relevant to you, to record your purchases and payments, and to provide the services you have requested, such as sending you a newsletter. In addition, we use the information to optimize our services and content.

Kronborg Cup generally processes your personal information on one of the following grounds:

Right to access information (right of access)

You have the right to access the information we process about you, and you can obtain further details by contacting us.

Right to Rectification (Correction)

You have the right to have inaccurate information about yourself corrected.

Right to erasure

In certain cases, you have the right to have information about you deleted before our regular general deletion schedule takes effect. 

Right to Restriction of Processing

In certain cases, you have the right to have the processing of your personal data restricted. If you have the right to restrict processing, we may only process the data in the future—other than for storage purposes—with your consent, or for the purpose of establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims, or to protect an individual or important public interests.

Right to Object

In certain cases, you have the right to object to our lawful processing of your personal data. You may also object to the processing of your data for direct marketing purposes.

Right to Transfer Information (Data Portability)

In certain cases, you have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, as well as to have that personal data transferred from one data controller to another without hindrance.

Disclosure of Personal Information

Data regarding your use of the website, the ads you see and may click on, your geographic location, gender, age group, etc., is shared with third parties to the extent that this information is known. You can see which third parties are involved in the “Cookies” section above. The information is used for targeted advertising.
In addition, we use a number of third parties for the storage and processing of data. These third parties process information exclusively on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Personal information such as your name and email address, etc., will only be disclosed if you give your consent. We only use data processors in the EU or in countries that can provide adequate protection for your information.

Where do we get your personal information from?

The personal data processed by the Kronborg Cup is collected solely from you or the club that has registered a team for the Kronborg Cup, signed you up as a volunteer, etc., through the completion of forms.

Storage period

The information is retained for the period permitted by law, and we delete it when it is no longer necessary. The retention period depends on the nature of the information and the reason for retaining it. However, if we have a receivable from you, or if there are legal requirements to retain the data for a longer period, we will retain your data for as long as it is relevant in relation to these rules or purposes.

Privacy Policy

We have implemented technical and organizational measures to prevent your information from being accidentally or unlawfully deleted, disclosed, lost, compromised, or accessed by unauthorized parties, misused, or otherwise processed in violation of the law.

Insight

You have the right to know what personal information we process about you. You may also object to the use of your information at any time. You may also withdraw your consent to the processing of your information. If the information we process about you is incorrect, you have the right to have it corrected or deleted.

Complaint to the Data Protection Authority

Revision of the Privacy Policy

We will update this Privacy Policy if there are any changes to the way we process your personal information. In the event of changes, the date at the top of the Privacy Policy will be updated. The Privacy Policy in effect at any given time will be available on our website at www.kronborgcup.dk
